Project City of Orihuela 5th Primary

Students of 5th of CEIP Villar Palasi, are working

on a project in English about the historic city of 

Orihuela: structure, history, culture, traditions, 

gastronomy,...
Through it, boys and girls have researched on the

 Internet, Library, used interviews,...
With all this they have prepared a museum 

presentation with their works, models and written 

and visual content.

By getting to know our city and our culture, at the 

same time, we can appreciate It and be interested 

in learning about other places in the world.

Orihuela is marvellous!

Alumnos de 5º del CEIP Villar Palasi, están trabajando un proyecto en Inglés sobre la ciudad histórica de Orihuela: estructura, historia, cultura, tradiciones, gastronomía,...
A través de él, niños y niñas han investigado en Internet, Biblioteca, utilizado las entrevistas,...
Con todo ello han elaborado una presentación museo con sus trabajos, maquetas y contenidos escritos y visuales.

Conociendo nuestra ciudad y su cultura la apreciamos y a la vez despertamos interés por conocer otros lugares del mundo.

DESPEDIDA "PENPALS"

PONEMOS PUNTO Y FINAL A LA ACTIVIDAD DE AMIGOS POR CORRESPONDENCIA "PENPALS" QUE LOS ALUMNOS Y ALUMNAS DE 6º HAN IDO DESARROLLANDO A LO LARGO DEL AÑO EN LA CLASE DE INGLÉS CON EL COLEGIO DE CALIFORNIA "INTENSIVE LEARNING SCHOOL".

MUCHAS HAN SIDO LAS ANÉCDOTAS QUE RECORDAREMOS SIEMPRE DE ESTA MAGNÍFICA ACTIVIDAD:  SU IMPACIENCIA POR SABER CUANDO LLEGARÍAN LAS CARTAS , SUS COMENTARIOS POR EXPERIENCIAS QUE LES CONTABAN SUS AMIGOS, LA SORPRESA AL VER LAS DIFERENCIAS CULTURALES ENTRE AMBOS PAÍSES, ETC. SIN DUDA NOS QUEDAMOS CON LA SATISFACCIÓN DE LOS ALUMNOS AL VER CÓMO LA LENGUA EXTRANJERA PUEDE SER USADA PARA  HACER MÁS AMIGOS, EN ESTE CASO AMIGOS MÁS "ESPECIALES" Y LEJANOS.  

     

POR ELLO, DECIDIMOS ENVIARLES UN ÚLTIMO VÍDEO DE DESPEDIDA ENSEÑÁNDOLES UN POCO MÁS NUESTRO COLE Y SALUDÁNDOLOS DESDE VALENCIA EN SU VIAJE DE ESTUDIOS.

GRACIAS CHICOS Y CHICAS DE SEXTO POR VUESTRO ENTUSIASMO EN ESTA ACTIVIDAD.

PEN PALS

Los alumnos y alumnas de 6°están llevando a cabo una actividad muy motivante para ellos : están haciendo amigos por carta(Pen pals) del colegio "Intensive Learning Center" de Lakewood en California. Gracias a esto, están poniendo en práctica muchos de los contenidos aprendidos a lo largo de la primaria. También les está permitiendo hacer uso de las destrezas de lectura y escritura de forma más amena. Si a esto le sumamos la parte cultural y social de conocer sobre otras zonas de habla inglesa, vemos que la actividad no podría resultar más productiva y gratificante para ellos.

  

         

         

La semana pasada enviamos nuestras primeras cartas , ahora falta esperar que lleguen bien y recibir las de ellos.

STORYTELLER

Our kids of 5 years old, 4th and 6th level enjoyed with the visit of a storyteller . They participated singing and learning new aspects about the English culture. They were also revising vocabulary that they have learnt : animals, London.

HALLOWEEN IS HERE!

We have started the celebration of Halloween in Villar Palasí school. Children are enjoying with songs, crafts, scary food and a lot of funny activities.

THEATRE 6TH LEVEL

Our students of 6th level have been preparing in the English class a theatre. The theatre of 6th level A  is called "At the Greek theatre" and the theatre of 6th level B is called "The spooky castle" . 

All the students have participated with motivation and eagerness.

Students have been studying their roles during this term using all the English skills (listening, grammar, writing and speaking) in a different and motivating way. They brought clothes and objects that we used in the theatre.

Last week our students of 1st, 3rd and 4th level were enjoying with a storyteller in the library of the school .

They were participating while she was telling the story.

 They were putting into practise contents of Science , such as the name of the planets.

Students of 6th level have been studying different places about London. During the month of November and December they have been collecting information about famous places. At the end they created these fantastic models:
